Well how about that I have the Blog caught up to date the same day it happened. That doesn’t occur very often and perhaps not again. Now to start updating the Crazyguyonabike.com journal.
My knee is in and out at this time – started to ride up to the Permafrost Tunnel about 10 miles away after church and instead stopped at Wal-Mart and bought a knee brace. Letting it rest a while longer.
- Saturday, Yesterday I am to the Immaculate Mary Church for the Soup Kitchen lunch – then volunteered with clean up and got to mop this whole basement hall under the main church, and the kitchen, back hall and restrooms. I am pretty good at Mopping if I do say so myself – I have mopped a lot of floors. It is good to keep your needed skills current.
- Sunday Morning after the 7:30am mass at Coffee and Donuts. Everyone here has been so out reaching – well most everyone the fellow in the orange vest is one of those being reached out to as well as me. By the way after lunch yesterday with this fellow, I went to the Barbershop and asked to be made less homeless looking. The barber got a kick out of that and I got a really short haircut and beard.
- a small shot into the common room of the Hostel – at the table is Bobby from Hong Kong, he has been here a few weeks waiting on the dorms to open at Univ. of Alaska Fairbanks. The young woman is from Denmark, the other fellow from Japan. Not seen is another person from Japan, Mike who is waiting on a flight to Hawaii, he sold his Tok, Alaska place and is relocating to live on the big Island of Hawaii. This Hostel staying and meeting fellow adventurers from around the world is kinda cool. A couple who where here when my Grandson Michael was here, have asked about him. He is doing really well playing football and being home. He did tell me he missed riding his bike.
