- Nice camp last night not too crowded. The campsites in the background are semi-permenent campers.
- Candy company out in the valley – passing lots of fruit and nut processing. The local truck drivers are very friendly waving back and honking on the return trips.
- These are pomagranit trees
- A little perplexed why all the fences are 6 strand barb wire instead of the usual 3 or 4.
- This almond orchard is being taken out – found out later that the productive life span of Almond trees is about 25yrs then time to plant new ones – Lots of fire wood here.
- The 6 strand of barb wire every looks kind of ominous – I found out later it is required by law if the farm owner has even one cow. Little bit of overkill and makes it more expensive
- as I am heading east across the valley this is a good contrast of the orchard and vineyard growth. This is all irrigated
- So this is how they prune all those trees so evenly a really big hedge trimmer. Cool
- ll day today it has been orchards and vineyards as far as the eye can see on a nice 33 mile day.
