- 09-25 Tues Morn – camping out in the big trees after a great 30 miles day yesterday.
- These trees are huge.
- There is little old me
- A short hike along the Smith River.
- These trees are magnificent for the fire and other injuries they grow through and thrive.
- I am always looking up to see where I am at.
- Still walking with the giants
- some more of the Fauna – had to use the flash in the shade of the trees.
- I really like ferns
- The Smith River – understand the water level is low, until the rains raise it up. There are large salmon and steelhead that spawn up the tributaries after the water rises. We still have know idea when they know when the water rises up stream so they can start from the ocean, or how they really know their way to the right spot. By the way how did the first fish egg get laid up the river so that the later adult would know where to come back to. Your and my guesses are as accurate as anyone else s at this time.
- Road side flowers
- up close roadside flowers – yes it is uphill and there is lots of time to see and smell the flowers.
- These little cuties eat bugs that are trapped in the hood
- It is not all dense green forest – Old fire sight.
