- On the road again – stocked up on groceries – last grocery store until Alaska. It is raining off and on. Joe is way out front, Michael and Emma talking and I am bringing up the rear. The upgrade was steady and not steep.
- off into the distant rain – the hills are a lot less than back down south – a little headwind, making it a little cooler it the showers. moving on.
- Michael found some marker tape to make a tail with – it is just a tad boring for a 14yr old riding everyday. Heck even for an old fart easily distracted it gets a little boring.
- Met uo with another rider coming from Anchorage via Fairbanks, who is from Japan – he tells us the head wind stayes with us and the road gets bumpy(new chip seal) Oh well just keep making progress and a new adventure will run you over
- Road later into the evening and got the tarp and tent up before the heavy rain came down. The roasted Marshmellows always make the moment better. Emma really like em and so does Joe. Marty and Marc Richie the (Beer Angel) were heading home to Haines Junction and stopped to invite us and make sure we were coming to their house – You know we are.
