12-04-09 Monday – 48 miles 92 days a fantastic day and then Bang! broke down.

- Mon On the road again Nelson Reservoir looking back to the mountain I am in a lot better shape and well rested. These first few miles are melting away.

- To the top of the ridge without walking – feels good and and a really good start. a little tail wind and a lot less weight really makes a difference.

- heading down to Springerville and Breakfast with Nancy – Goal today is St Johns – will see

- Made it to St Johns by 2:20 PM 48 miles – An awkward Down shift and roll backward bound up the chain and snapped off the the – Derailer drop out, bent the chain and Derailer Checked Tucson and Las Vegas bike shops – need to order the drop out from England –

- Scott Risser to the rescue. Picked me up at St Johns, AZ after a really super 48mile ride by 2 thirty in the afternoon. Wednesday 04-11-12 – Talked with ICE trike this morning and the parts are on their way. Having them sent to Las Vegas and should be there 1st of next week. The plan is to drive the truck with the Trike to there and catch up on my schedule for getting to Fairbanks, AK no later than August 23, 2012.

- 3-30 Fri St Bernard in Highland, Ca – After arriving in Springerville Helena’s Mother went in for surgery – Fortunately the Dodge pickup started right up after sitting idle all winter and I drove to San Bernardino, Ca to help out. Her Mother is doing really well now.

- 4-3 Tues Leaving Highland, ca with Helena’s car in tow to Tucson, AZ – Got to drive back together and the car trailer was less than the gas for the Van. The diesel mileage to San Bernardino from springerville was 30.1 MPG, I have no idea how that happened., and pulling the trailer back to Tucson it was still 18MPG. a record for this dodge truck with 240,000 miles on it.

- Tucson to the Mountain on Thursday 04-05 morning beautiful sunrise over the Rincon Mountains from Helena’s house. and the truck got 29.9 MPG on up to Nutrioso, AZ. WOW – Still spending more for fuel than when riding the ICE trike.

- 04-05 Thur The mountain is still there and it is a wonderful day – Holy Thursday mass this evening at St. Peters

- The Tent cabin is still here – even with out a shower at least it is inside.

- 04-06 Fri getting the ICE trike cleaned and tuned up for the next leg to Fairbanks, AK
